The eleventh edition of the event, which will take place from 13 to 15 August, is entering the final countdown, recalling the high standard of competition seen last year

The countdown to the eleventh edition of Famara Total is now underway. The trail running event, organised by Teguise Town Council, will take place from 13 to 15 August and will once again turn Caleta de Famara into the epicentre of mountain running in Lanzarote.
With several weeks still to go before registration closes, the event continues to attract considerable interest from runners both within and outside the Canary Islands, establishing itself as one of the highlights of the regional calendar thanks to routes that wind through some of the island’s most spectacular landscapes.

Last year’s edition once again highlighted the high sporting standard of the event and the diversity of categories offered by Famara Total. In the 25-kilometre race, Yoel de Paz took the win with a time of 1:53:02, whilst in the women’s category, victory went to Lorena Padrón with a time of 2:29:40. In the 15-kilometre race, the winners were Edwin Camacho (1:16:41) and Estela Guerra (1:32:26). Meanwhile, the 7.5-kilometre race – one of the most popular and well-attended events for both runners and walkers – was won by Tinguaro Quintero (32:31) and María José Pina (43:23).

The 11th Famara Total will once again feature 45, 25, 15 and 7.5-kilometre routes, as well as hiking, the night-time vertical race and children’s events, offering a sporting experience that combines challenge, nature and camaraderie in a unique setting.

Registration will remain open until 9 August or until all available places are filled, and can be completed via the official website www.famaratotal.com, where you can also find full details of the event categories, routes and programme.
